I started using Xeomin and Botox to relax my wrinkles a few years ago. I noticed I was aging. What happened? I swore I still looked 20! When I smiled, I had crow’s feet around my eyes. When I squinted I had deep wrinkles on my forehead that wouldn’t go away, and the number 11 was inscribed between my brows.
The decision to start Xeomin/Botox or facial fillers was confusing. What should I use? How much should I use? How often would I need it?
I had some girlfriends already getting treatment and they looked fabulous, young and rejuvenated. I started asking for referrals and searching online but I read some horror stories about uneven eyebrows or artificial looking results and I was determined to find a physician injector.
I was referred to Dr. Thomas Heggen at Your Medicos by a girlfriend who looked natural, beautiful and younger each time I saw her. I liked Dr. Heggen. He spent time with me discussing what I wanted to achieve and I love my results.
To begin, Dr. Heggen is honest and gentle. He will not let you “over-do” it. He starts subtle, makes sure you like the results and is always open for follow-up appointments if you want more. This prevents the “shocked” or “frozen” look – I’m sure you’ve seen it before – one eyebrow raised, no movement on the face or just expressionless.
Dr. Heggen injected Botox at my first visit per my request but we’ve switched to Xeomin. He likes Xeomin because it does not have the added protein preservative like Botox so it is more purified. I guess the main difference between Xeomin and Botox or Dysport (another injectable neurotoxin), is that Xeomin contains just one ingredient: botulinum toxin A. Xeomin is a “naked injectable,” meaning that it does not contain any additives. A benefit of a pure-form injectable is that the human body is less likely to become resistant to it.
I love my results with Xeomin and recommend it to everyone I know. Below are my pictures with eye brows raised – before and after, 7-days after injection. I also added a video of my best girlfriend getting injection in her 11’s.
